About Us
Plainfield Area Community Trust, PACT is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization born from the collective vision of Plainfield area residents. We believe in building a stronger, more vibrant community through collaboration and shared passion.
Our Story
It all began in May 2023 with a simple question: how can we make Plainfield and the surrounding area an even better place to live, work, and raise a family? Fueled by this question, a group of residents gathered at Littlewood Farm to share ideas and explore possibilities. With generous support from the Selectboard and the Vermont Preservation Trust, PACT was formed to empower residents and bring their ideas to life.
Our mission is to foster community, support sustainable economic growth and development, and maintain the historic integrity of Plainfield and surrounding areas.
PACT serves as an umbrella organization, providing support and resources to resident-led initiatives. Do you have a project in mind that requires non-profit status to secure funding? We can help! Our board offers guidance and expertise to navigate the grant application process. We also welcome residents who simply want to get involved and contribute their talents.
